Queenstown

Hello from sunny Queenstown - in the lovely south of New Zealand's South Island. Sorry that we have been bad bloggers for the last couple of weeks but we were rather stopped in our blogging tracks when we arrived in NZ as we were both struck down by a mystery virus which landed both of us in Auckland A&E - me on Saturday night and Jon the next Monday. It was a horrible bug; it started with a nasty fever and then we both just felt sick for about 5 days.

We are finally better though and have had a couple of fantastic days bomming around NZ in our little white car. The place is so beautiful. Yesterday we saw stunning beaches, glaciers, mountains, lakes and forests all in a day and today we have driven through more mountainous country to get to Queenstown, which is the Queen of all adventure holiday paradises. We have booked a trip on a river speedboat trip tomorrow....

Off to LA next week as Fiji is now sadly off the cards due to the coup. Must publish now before i get cut off.....
